Curing Fibroids Naturally Using Holistic Methods

If you are wondering whether curing fibroids naturally is a possibility, then prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Providing you have been given the diagnosis that your fibroids are not life-threatening, then you could join the many thousands of women worldwide who have been successful in shrinking their fibroids using holistic methods.

Conventional treatment seems to offer very little to fibroid sufferers. Surgery and drug treatment are not permanent solutions which is why many doctors prefer the “watchful waiting” approach. Fibroids are a complicated condition and it is very difficult to determine just what has caused them in the first place. Although there are a number of common factors, these vary from woman to woman and the likelihood is that an individual has fibroids due to a mix of primary and secondary causes.

What we do understand is that fibroids probably grow in response to lifestyle, hormone levels, dietary and genetic factors. The simple fact is that if we can eliminate the root causes, then curing fibroids naturally is ultimately possible.

The “whole body” approach which is holistic treatment is a perfect remedy for fibroids. By rebalancing the body and getting it back to health, this creates an environment where fibroids cannot thrive.

There are several protocols involved in holistic treatment and, quite honestly, some ladies do find it just too much. When you embark upon holistic treatment for curing fibroids naturally, you need to be prepared to make significant lifestyle and dietary changes and effectively take charge of your own healing. I usually liken it to dieting-we know and understand what we should be doing, but sticking to it can be another matter.

Principles Of Holistic Treatment

* Dietary overhaul and modification
* Whole body cleansing
* Liver cleansing/detoxification
* Acupuncture and acupressure if appropriate
* Stress management
* Herbal remedies
* Supplementation of the diet
* Regular exercise

As it can take some time for these treatments to take effect, curing fibroids naturally is not going to happen overnight. Many women do find that they begin to notice symptomatic relief within days but measurable shrinkage can take weeks. However, once they begin to feel better, this is often all the motivation needed to carry on.

About the author: Gail advocates using natural treatments for fibroids rather than using conventional medication or surgery as this is a workable long term solution. Conventional medication only treats the symptoms and fibroids are likely to regrow, whereas natural treatments, when used properly can eliminate the root cause by rebalancing the body and restoring overall health.

Frequently Asked Questions

    Is hysterectomy after menopause the best answer for hormone therapy when you have uterine fibroids?
    I have uterine fibroids and have gone through menopause. I desperately need HRT but due to uterine fibroids my doctor recomends hysteroctomy. I have also had steph infections in the urinary tract due to enlarged uterus. My urologists also recomends hysterectomy.

    • ANSWER:
      if you have both doctors telling you the same thing then I say go for it ~ i never made it to menopause I had a hyst 8 years ago & all though it was a little mind boggling for me I made it through just fine & I did do hrt for about 1 month & quit due to the high risk of heart attack & stroke & death ~but I am fine without it & have no strange hair growing any where so I did well i do believe♦

    I am 72 and been on HRT for a year. Biest and Progesterone and I started to cycle my hormones about the?
    ninth month and have had three months with menses. Now, the doctor tells me I have fibroids and a thickening of the lining of my womb. Could it be caused by the wrong dose of HRT? I have an appointment for a biopsy on this Friday. Please help

    • ANSWER:

    I need a hysterectomy due to pelvic pain, fibroids, etc?
    I am 45, and my doc thinks I should have the ovaries taken out so that my pelvic pain is resolved, and so that no future surgeries are needed. I am concerned about taking HRT but he assures me that it’s safe. Anyone have any advice for me? I am having this done laparscopically and robotically so my recovery time is cut in half. Instread of an 8 week recovery, it’s 4. Thanks,
    Sorry if I didn’t state facts clearly enough. No the uterus and ovaries are to go.
    My uterus has a big fibroid in it with other fibroids

    • ANSWER:
      Well your surgery sounds much less complicated then the traditional abdominal hysterectomy I’d had done a few years ago. You mention that only your ovaries are going to be removed? Do they have a cyst or adhesion’s on them? Do you have Endometriosis? I”ve had that, and the pain is very severe. I think you’ll fly through the surgery and be happier afterward since your pain level will lesson dramatically. I take Estradiol for my HRT and I’m 42. This is a natural hormone that is way safer to use than a lot of the traditional hormones like Prevarin which is made from a Mare’s urine. Good luck with your surgery!

    Does anyone know about uterine artery embolization? I’m thinking about that versus a hysterectomy.?
    I have fibroids and hyperplasia w/atypia. Right now I’m on Provera to control the bleeding (and it’s working) but you don’t want to stay on HRT too long and, I’m not interested in having anymore children. Any advice or guidance…thanks!!!
    The doctor does not want to take out the ovaries which mean that I will not suffer from hot flashes or experience menopause.

    • ANSWER:
      I had a hysterectomy! It changes You ! EVERYTHING about you! I will pray for you!

    questions about hysterectomy?
    I had a complete hysterectomy about 2 weeks ago.The Dr had me start Premarin in the hospital because of hot flashes and a headache that wouldnt go away..he thought maybe the drop in estrogen was causing the headache.Anyway..I took just one Premarin and havent continued them at home.I have hot flashes but nothing I cant handle right now.I know your risks for heart attacks,stroke,and breast cancer are increased by taking HRT but what if anything is your risk of NOT taking any HRT?? I know 2 weeks isnt a lot of time to know how bad my side effects will be but right now I feel like I dont have any side effects,nothing to worry about anyway.
    btw…Im 36…I had the hystrectomy because of heavy periods,fibroids,poly cyctic,and endometrosis [sp] that caused andometrosis which caused my uterus to be 3 times the normal size.
    I had laproscopic surgery with the uterus removed vaginal. So recovery is going pretty well I think.
    Do most women gain weight after a hysterectomy? is that just from the surgery?not having estrogen or being on HRT?? Im also hypothyroid and of course dont want to gain weight =]

    Any information is greatly appreicated =]

    • ANSWER:
      I had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 46 and was already having hot flashes. They put me on estrogen patches in the hospital and I used them for a year, but didn’t really like them. I decided to stop using them and do nothing and did that for another year, but the hot flashes got the best of me, also very nervous, jittery, lots of symptoms I didn’t enjoy. I started premarin and took it for 7 years but stopped when the breast cancer scare came out a few years ago. I personally think that the hrt helps with hot flashes, but more than that with the aging process of the skin, face, breasts and everything that estrogen provided before. I actually gained more weight after stopping the hrt, and ended up diabetic three years ago because of weight gain in the mid section. Estrogen protects women from getting a “beer gut” like guys tend to get, and the loss of it takes away that protection.

      It is totally your choice along with your doctor, but I am glad that I took advantage of the technology for a few years.

      best wishes..
