Location Of Fibroids

How to Get Rid of Fibroids

If you would like to know how to get rid of fibroids, you will be pleased to learn that there is a non-invasive treatment which is guaranteed to reduce fibroids to a size where they no longer cause symptoms.

Many women are surprised to know that surgery and drug treatment does not guarantee that the fibroids will not return. The only way that this can be assured is if a hysterectomy is performed. In addition, surgery can reduce or even eliminate the woman’s ability to have children.

If you know you have fibroids and they are not causing any unpleasant symptoms, it is perfectly safe to leave them alone. Only a minute fraction of fibroids are cancerous (less than 0.1%) and so under normal circumstances this is not a problem.

Doctors are not unanimously agreed on the causes of fibroids but what is agreed is that there are common factors. Women who have high estrogen levels often have fibroids as do those who are overweight. Women with no children are also more likely to have fibroids as are women over 30 and those of Afro-Caribbean descent. Hereditary factors also play a part.

For women looking at how to get rid of fibroids, the conventional methods include medication and surgery. Hormonal treatments to reduce the size of fibroids can be effective but can only be taken for a short period of time and are normally used before surgery to make the fibroids more manageable. As these drugs effectively cause women to have menopausal symptoms and contribute to bone loss, the use must be short term.

There are different types of surgical procedures which can be used to get rid of fibroids. These include a hysterectomy, which is the complete removal of the womb. This is classed as major surgery and therefore comes with the associated risks. Other options include a procedure just to remove individual fibroids, leaving the womb intact or shrinking the fibroids by injecting the blood vessels with plastic beads to cut off the supply, therefore causing the fibroids to shrink. Other options include the removal of the lining of the womb by using heat treatment. It is worth noting that with the exception of a hysterectomy, all procedures can result in the fibroids growing back over time.

Despite the fact that fibroids can cause such unpleasant symptoms, the fact that they are rarely serious gives women the choice to try a natural treatment before opting for painful surgical options which may only give temporary relief.

More and more women are finding that natural treatments are offering a real solution and they are now considered as a viable option by those wanting to know how to get rid of fibroids. By using tried and tested guaranteed methods, you will learn exactly how you can get fast relief from the most unpleasant symptoms such as bloating, cramps and heavy periods within just a few short hours. Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Left Ovary cannot be seen in an ultra sound?
    Why could that be?
A number of fibroids exist in my mothers uterus and possibly a pulp.
One of the fibroids exist in the submocosal location? Im not enitrely sure what this means but I believe its growth is causing the heavy menstrual bleeding of my mother and it does need to be operated on, cant anyone help me?

    • ANSWER:
Fibroids are NOT cancer. I’ve had many fibroids resulting from a disease called endometriosis,. If your mother has massive fibroids, they can and will cause a lot of pain. They don’t belong there. This is what happens. I hope her Dr is going to do something about it. At first, I refused because I was only 35. That didn’t work. My endometriosis got so bad, I passed out from hemorrhage. Then I woke up in the hospital with a complete hysterectomy because the Dr told my husband he should sign the release form since I was unable. My husband did because he thought I was going to die. No, I knew differently. I only wish the Dr hadn’t gone so drastically. Oh well, So don’t worry, fibroids are never cancer, it’s only thick excessive tissue growth. And yes, it hurts. I hope your mom feels better. Make sure she gets another opinion, That is so very important.

  2. QUESTION:
What is the different to fibroid and cyst?
Normally, I saw people posted – fibroids in the uterus, cysts in the ovaries. Other than the location, are they the same things or different type of growing substances?

    • ANSWER:
A cyst has fluid (pus) inside it and a fibroid is made up of tissue. Cysts & fibroids can occur anywhere in the body.

  3. QUESTION:
My doctor says I can’t have a baby because of fibroids!?
I’ve suspected fibroids for a while now. I got an ultrasound last month and yesterday, my doctor told me that I have three big ones and some small ones and because of the location of the fibroid, the only way I can remove them is to remove my uterus. I’ve been married for three years and haven’t been able to get pregnant. My doctor said the fibroid could be the cause and that even if I did, I wouldn’t be able to carry the baby to full term. She’s suggested surrogacy! I’m still in shock and I don’t know what to do.

    • ANSWER:
Sorry to hear about this difficult news. one thing you should do though is consult a second or even third doctor for a different opinion! This is something that will confirm or infirm your doctor’s suggestion.

Fibroids can indeed damage the uterus but some treatment can treat them before they actually damage it entirely. Of course it all depends on the size of the lump but some women with large fibroids have been able to conceive.

  4. QUESTION:
Depo Provera Shot is it Right?
About two mths. ago I discovered I had fibroids (2) and because of location my doctors states she can’t remove them.

So, on Feb. 6 of this year I received the Depo Provera shot. About a mth. after the shot I started spotting, then I started to have severe pain and discharge of large clots for one week. I would pass 2-3 large clots per day. When I contacted my doctor she suggested I take mortin 800mg. I have been bleeding for a mth or more. My doctor suggested that I needed another shot to stop the bleeding but my next shot is not due until the end of April.

I don’t feel that I should be bleeding for such a long time. Now, my doctor has placed me on birth control pills to stop the bleeding, it has slowed it down a little but I still continue to bleed and as of recent I have started back passing smaller clots. I am concerned that I should not take the second shot.

Please if anyone has had this problem, or any experts…please offer me some onsite.

    • ANSWER:
OMG. Get a doctor that understands the body and how it works. Those vaccines are dangerous and it sounds like you are now in a major medical disaster that is doctor induced. Realize that over 106,000 people died last year in hospitals from drugs that were prescribed by doctors, FDA approved and legitimately prescribed. Only 10,000 to 20,000 people died last year of illegal drug use. Doesn’t is seem we are fighting the wrong people in our WAR ON DRUGS!

The doctor is treating the symptom, not the root cause of the fibroids. The root cause will still be there once that doctor gets through experimenting on you.

I strongly suggest getting a second opinion and also seeing a Certified Nutritional Therapist to examine you to determine what your body is deficient in specific to you and then recommending a diet and supplements to correct the root cause.

      good luck to you

  5. QUESTION:
    Lurpon Injection vs.Myomectomy–Immediate Advice Needed!?
I just turned 26 and was diagnosed with uterine fibroids (25cm-very large!) My OB-Gyn has ordered my a Lupron Injection (scheduled for Friday 12/08/06) it is suppose to shrink the fibroids by pushing me into early menopause and save my fertility-I have no children as of yet, but my dream is to have my own family one day. I have read many horrible reports on Lupron and have done a little reading up on alternatives and came across Myomectomy. I read that they can take the fibroids out of uterus no matter the size, #, or location—This seems much better of an option for me. If anyone has had this done, please tell me your experiences. I kind of feel obligated to get the injection because he already ordered it for me and it is very expensive-I do not want him to deny me as a patient if I refuse it and bring up this other option. Someone please give me advice, this is all new to me and I am scared to death and in alot of pain! I do not know what I need to do or what to say to my Dr. – TY

    • ANSWER:
Again, you do not need to feel obligated to having the lurpon injection just because your Doc has ordered it. Before he/she ordered it, he/she should have gone through all the options with you, and taken into consideration, the fact that you would like to bear children. If you go into early menopause, how can you bear children? My advice is for you to visit this excellent website and compare all the alternative ways your Myoma’s can be treated.
