Cure Uterine Fibroids By Reducing Estrogen And Balancing The Hormones

Many women of childbearing age suffer with fibroids and fibrocystic breast disease. For many the condition will prohibit planning a pregnancy.

Many post-menopausal women are taking estrogen replacement drugs that help control hot flashes and mood. However there are so many research studies implicating estrogen replacement with an increased risk of cancer, it hardly seems worth it to use this treatment to control hot flashes.

Many post-menopausal women are surprised to learn that despite their wise refusal of estrogen replacement, they too are estrogen dominant, and this excess estrogen in fueling the growth of fibroids and fibroid cysts in the uterus and breasts.

So what do you do? It you are on oral contraception or any type of hormone contraception (i.e, DeproProvera, etc.), discontinue it and use an alternative that is hormone free. If you are currently on estrogen replacement, tell your doctor that you want to discontinue it. (Later you can explore bio-identical hormone replacement with a qualified practitioner.)

Avoid drugs that contain hormones such as cortisone and prednisone. Avoid hydrocortisone cream.

Avoid estrogen-rich foods such as: soy products (tofu, soy yogurt, soy milk, etc.), flax seeds and flax oil, canola oil (from the rapeseed) as well as all seeds, pods, and beans. Think of every seed, pod and bean as a mini uterus ready to reproduce and consequently high in estrogen. Yes, many of these foods are famous for their nutritional value. However, for the individual with fibroids these foods will fuel the growth of the tumors. Soy in particular is everywhere in processed food products.

Avoid the so-called womens herbs or herbal formulas as these contain herbs known to be high in phytoestrogens. This can be the ultimate in irony as many natural approaches to treating fibroids recommend herbs that will in the short term have a positive effect, but in the long term fuel the growth of fibroids due their high content of estrogens.

Avoid herbicides and pesticides. These chemicals are known as xenoestrogens since they mimic the activity of natural estrogen. Stay away from golf courses, commercial farms, pest control sprays, fuel and solvent fumes. Always soak fruits and vegetables in a sink of water and a tablespoon of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide or a mixture of one half vinegar and water for 20 minutes, followed by a thorough rinse. Seek out my article on identifying estrogenic foods and herbs.

Metabolizing excessive estrogen is possible with a specific herbal formula developed by an oncologist with training in Chinese medicine (check below) and the use of a pure progesterone cream. Progesterone supplementation via a transdermal cream is an easy and powerful way to recover from the estrogen dominant condition that causes the growth of uterine fibroids, fibrocystic breasts and endometriosis. Progesterone quite simply puts excessive estrogen into balance. However, many formulas contain ingredients that are estrogenic in a misguided attempt to improve on pure progesterone. Read labels!

Estrogen is stored in body fat. Body fat is most often the result of a lower metabolism due to a sluggish and toxic liver. Excessive estrogens are contributing factors to weight gain. When the liver fails to eliminate estrogens efficiently, the excessive estrogens stimulate fat cell production from the lower abdominal area to the knees where estrogens are more concentrated.

Estrogens also bind to sodium which retains water and leads to weight gain. Chinese bitters can be helpful in detoxifying the liver and increasing the flow of bile. However, the fast track to a more functional liver can be realized by engaging in a series of liver-gallbladder flushes to remove the cholesterol pellets that clog the bilary ducts of the liver and impede the flow of bile. The easiest and most effective L-G flush uses an ozonated olive oil product, Olive Gold 03.

The best natural treatments for uterine fibroid tumors address the cause and the symptoms of the problem. Fibroid tumors develop due to excessive estrogen. The fibroid tumor is the symptom and product of the cause. Since fibroids are composed of fibrin, the same material of scar tissue, taking a professional strength systemic enzyme formula will dissolve the fibroid and remove this tissue altogether over time. When combined with the hormone balancing strategy this protocol offers the best natural approach to defeating uterine fibroids once and for all.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Have you ever heard of progesterone cream as an aid for helping to reduce fibroids when trying to conceive?
I have small uterine fibroids that my doctor said are common, but could make TTC harder. I was reading about progesterone cream helping luteal phase, making womb more “baby friendly” and helping implantation, then I read something about progesterone cream helping make the fibroids smaller or something, anyone know anything about this or have experience?

    • ANSWER:
I’ve never heard of it being used during TTC, but I have heard great success stories of the cream being used to help reduce fibriods. I don’t see why the two wouldn’t go together?

  2. QUESTION:
    progesterone cream for fibroids?
I have been reading about fibroids been caused by oestrogen dominance and progesterone cream working for them, so I ordered a jar, I thought I would find someone on here who had tried it, but after searching under fibroids, several have recommended surgery.

I have been advised against surgery as I am a high stroke risk due to other disabilities and congenital hypothyroidism.

I have seen fibroidclear and another one I cant think of name but involves taking serracor, which I can’t find a supplier in UK. I think Fibroidclear is from US also.

I’m taking kelp as iodine is meant to help and also help thyroid and B6 is meant to help liver break down excess oestrogen as well.

Has anyone ever tried herbal ways to shrink fibroids or the progesterone cream and did it work?

    • ANSWER:
The only way to get rid of fibroids is surgery. If the cream worked it would be prescribed to women with fibroids as it would be much easier and cheaper than surgery. I would also NOT recommend taking unregulated doses of hormones, you can cause other health problems like this.
Why not talk to your GP or gynaecologist about what you CAN do instead of reading stuff on the net. Most of the stuff posted there is rubbish and/or dangerous.

  3. QUESTION:
What are some natural treatements (diet, vitamins) I can take increase my progesterone?
I’m relatively healthy, married and 26. For the past 3 years, I’ve begun spotting about 1 day before my period. From what I’ve read, it can be caused by low progesterone, endometriosis or fibroids. I think that I’m having a difficult time getting pregnant because of low progesterone which can affect implantation into my uterus. What are some natural solutions I can do? I don’t want to take prescriptions or use the progesterone cream.

    • ANSWER:
If you have had your hormonal level checked and have low progesterone here is a few options. One you can buy a cream from the health food stores, made of plants. You can also do what is called Bio-Identical hormonal replacement. You would have a saliva test done. Pharmacies who sell bio identicals will give you the test. You have to spit a LOT in the morning. It will test all your female hormone levels. This test is more sensative and acurate than even blood. The Bio-Identical’s are all natural, and the pharmasist will mix them together right there to the exact level your body needs. You can get the test done for about 0.00. Then you get the results back, and your Dr. would have to prescribe the exact dosage of what you need. Many Dr’s who practice natural medicine are encouraging Bio-Identicals. They have seemed to help many women with a lot less side effects than the standard pills and creams. If you have not had the low progesterone verified by any testing and are just guessing. I would tell you to do the Lab, and get check at least. Have a Dr verify this is the problem. I tried natural low dose health food store progesterone once to help my cycle. OMG, that was not my problem I have never EVER had a headache so desperatly bad in my life. It was the MOMMA Migrain of them all. I’m including a link for more info on the Bio Identicals. It is a link for Women to Women, this site is awesome. The clinic was established by Dr. Christina Northrup. Her book womens bodies womens wisdom, helped me get rid of fibroids without medication, and without surgery. One was the size of a tennis ball. I would highly recomend the book to any women as a guide to your woman hood. She goes over all kinds of female problems and the most natural way to the most invasive way to treat them. I have had great luck with her natural methods. Good luck hon, email me if you want, we can talk more.

  4. QUESTION:
anyone here ever had bad uterine fibroids?
I think I may have developed a uterine fibroid(s). I’m having mucus and bleeding discharge while I’m taking progesterone, and I’ve read they are about the only “female” issue that gets worse with progesterone exposure instead of better. Also, my mom had one of the worst cases they’d ever seen when they were doing an autopsy on her over a year ago, and I’ve read they are genetic. Does anyone want to share how their symptoms presented? I do have a doc appointment on Thursday.

    • ANSWER:
It does sound like you might have a uterine fibroid. My Mum used to get them all the time and experienced very heavy and painful periods accompanied by pelvic pain and also had heavy bleeding between periods. Before my Mum was diagnosed with her fibroids her doctors thought her pain was caused by her endometriosis (another condition she had).

I haven’t personally experienced fibroids, but I do believe that some conditions are hereditary as my Mum had suffered from ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis and eventually had a hysterectomy. I too suffer with ovarian cysts regularly and was diagnosed with endometriosis last year.

I would recommend you follow through with your doctors appointment on Thursday and hopefully they will be able to give you a better indication as to what could be causing your bleeding.

      Good luck 🙂

  5. QUESTION:
    Menopause & Fibroids??
    Okay I need help!

I am currently going through the change and I went to the doctor today and he perscripted estogen & progesterone pills and told me these would help with my mood swings and night sweats. BUT…I realized driving home that I have ovarian fibroids. Now, as my menstral period is gone, there is nothing to feed the fibroids so they won’t grow. Now, if I remember correctly, does estrogen and progesterone not feel ovarian fibroids? I just called the doctors office and can’t get in to see him again for 3.5 weeks. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. I obviously don’t want to take these pills it its going to make the cysts grow.

    • ANSWER:
Yes, its true that once your periods stop the fibroids are supposed to shrink. The questions you are going to face are what is more urgent to you? Fighting the hot flashes, mood swings and dryness in the vagina, or on the other hand shrink the fibroids. Its a tough decision. No one can do it for you.
