Hi , i do not think ur worrying will help you , because stress always postpones periods . You have not mentioned why have you been put on GnRh hormone , what I know that this hormone is given to induce ovulation ,when some one wants to become pregnant . Since you are not married , so i m just curious as to why ur doctor has put you on this . secondly r u having PCOS/PCOD ??? i mean some more information about ur age , weight , history of periods would be helpful to make any comments .regards

I’m 37, don’t want kids, been menstruating since age 8. One fibroid is 7cm the other is 9cm. All of a sudden they are causing me extreme, life altering pain. I’ve been to Web MD, I’ve got doctors, what I’m looking for is experiences with the hormone therapies, operations,etc. At first I was just relieved it wasn’t cancer. Mri- guided ultrasound therapy for fibroids?
My wife has a 15 cm fibroid. She is 50 years old and just graduated from engineering school. She would like to get a job, but a hysterectomy will put her out of the market for longer than she’d like. Uterine Arterial Embolization is not an option since she is allergic to iodine used in the procedure.My question, has anyone had MRI-guided ultrasound therapy for this condition? How id it work? Any leads on where it might be performed (other than Mt. Sinai) in the Northeast?

By the way if your wife’s hysterectomy is not a total one, i.e. if its not an Abdominal, after which complete recovery usually takes four to eight weeks. But instead has a vaginal or laparoscopic procedure then most women are able to return to normal activity in one to two weeks.
