okay I had a termination done on DEC 3, I went to my check up and my doctor thinks I have a fibroid, Now my cycle has been normal until I got pregnant now it’s been 8 weeks and still no period. I go for an ultrasound Tuesday about the fibroid but im wondering why my period hasn’t came yet? could I still have left over tissue or could it be that my body is still trying get back normal?
I had a really bad yeast infection about 2 weeks after the termination and I’ve never had one before. Also I am on the nuvaring as of DEC 6.-

Its probably just your body still adjusting. Its rare to have tissue left inside – so its more likely to be something else.

***Is there a chance of Fibroids at 23?
Last year I had an abortion. Not only was it a very difficult time but since then I started to get very bad pains in my right ovary. I was admitted into hospital last year with an apparent ruptured ovary although the doctor never did any further examination just gave me pain killers with morphine and sent me home. It continued on and off after that and now my symptoms are as below:pain in abdomen particulary right side
bloating
pain during periods
pain now continues into the thigh/leg sometimes
always need to urinate
constipation
haemorrhoids
problems passing urineNow ive got an ultasound coming up but its not till another 4 weeks so in the mean time im trying to get as much information as I can.
Any ideas guys what it can be? I know its highly unlikely to be ovarian cancer at 23 so I’m wondering if its fibroids?

Not getting periods after abortion?
I had an abortion 4 1/2 months ago and since then have stopped getting my periods. In normal circumstances, post abortion, menstrual cycle commences after 10-12 weeks. It has been over 17 weeks in my case with no periods. My Ob/Gyn noticed tiny fibroids in my uterus during the ultrasound which she didn’t think was alarming. Could the presence of fibroids prevent periods? The doctor has run blood work to determine if I have thyroid. The results are not in yet. She also mentioned something about the fallopian tubes being blocked for which she wants me to get hysterosalpingogram where they pass a dye into the tubes to determine if it is blocked.
Prior to the termination procedure, I never had any complains with my periods. They were always on time and very regular. Can someone let me know if they have had a similar experience? I don’t know if I should co-relate the missing periods to the termination process. What could have triggered the thyroid if I have developped this?-

Years After Abortion and My Belly Is Still “Big”?
First, you’re probably wondering about my diet and weight and such. Well, I am 5’5, 113 lbs. Before the pregnancy, I was 110 lbs, gained 8 lbs (which was weird because I was so nauseated, I could never eat anything) and after the abortion, I settled at 113lbs. I assume this could be of some importance? Before the pregnancy, I ate whatever was there, I never exercised, My stomach was flat and I was skinny as a board.I guess this is where I start my story..SIX years ago, I had an abortion at 11 weeks into my pregnancy. I actually looked about 14 weeks, I got pretty big..I even went from an A to a C cup. No, I’m not exaggerating. Anyway, The process seemed to have gone well, no complications, my cervix healed nicely, my body was back to normal.. well, everything but my stomach. Sigh, and now I have tiny stretch marks on my breasts. Of course without the baby, the baby bump went down, but hardly at all. I just assumed it was stubborn belly fat from the pregnancy or bloating..something.
So fast forward to the present. I exercise alot, eat fairly healthy, take fiber and I am definitely not pregnant now. I am still stick thin and when I’m not sucking in, I look 3 months pregnant. It’s not normal, I just don’t know what to think. I’ve gone to the doctor and was told I don’t have cysts, but I don’t trust his 3-fingered exam. I haven’t had an ultrasound, just exams of the pelvis and cervix and regular pap smears. I’ve been to doctors complaining of severe cramps, heavy bleeding, back pains, you name it. All this time I was just being ignorant, but now it’s finally kicking in that there may be something wrong.. I’ve considered cysts and fibroids, but I’m still searching for answers. Of course, I won’t know for sure till I see a doctor, but it’s going to take about 6 weeks to get an appointment. Sigh. Hope I covered everything in my very long “question” (sorry to all who sat and read the whole thing). Any thoughts, advice, experiences? Thank you, everybody!

i don;t know whether to have an abortion?
I have recently been having many gynaecological problems and am booked in to have a laparoscopy for an ovarian cyst, fibroids and suspected enodmetriosis. i also have polysystic ovaries. so have been having lots of hospital appointmenst etc to find out the root of these problems and have grown to understand that i might be infertile. however in the meantime have found out that i’m pregnant and pretty far on due to my iregular periods (14 weeks). i now am booked in for an abortion as in the last 3 months and i have drank heavily and am concerend of how my gynae problems and alcohol may affect everything. however i am really struggling with this decision and feel full of guilt and confusion as not long ago i felt this was not possible. am i doing the right thing? will my accessive alcohol consumption and gynae problems affect my baby or what should i do? i am really starting to blame my boyfriend for everything as i ‘m so unsure. please help-

Your “gynae” problems will have absolultely no effect on the baby. They can affect conception chances, but not a baby once you have conceived.The alcohol is a different issue, however, if you have been having unprotected sex knowing full well that pregnancy is a possibility yet you continued to drink to excess, its kind of unfair of you to take it out on an innocent baby by killing it, isn’t it?
