Why would the ultrasound tech suggest a MRI for a uterine fibroid ?
My GYN said that it’s only the size of a marble and that it will go away around menopause, so why a possible MRI ? Also my primary care doc mentioned a lesion on the fibroid, should that be a concern?

    • ANSWER:
If you are concerned, ask the doc about the lesion. I’m not quite sure why they would require an MRI upon the ultrasound (sometimes, doctors order extra tests for extra money. Sad, but true. However, sometimes they just want to make sure they cover all their bases).

      Talk to the doc!
