What Not to Eat With Fibroids – 3 Types of Food to Eliminate
If you have fibroids, you probably already know that getting your diet right is very important. What not to eat with fibroids is just as important as what you should be eating, as the wrong foods can worsen your symptoms considerably.
The main themes of what not to eat are:-
1. Minimize Toxic Foods
2. Minimize High Glycemic Index Foods
3. Avoid Foods Contributing To Hormonal Imbalance
With these three pointers in mind, lets take a look at 3 uterine fibroid “sinners”!
1. Dairy products are believed to be a food group which can aggravate fibroid symptoms. They can cause allergies, inflammatory conditions and create mucous, clogging up your digestive tract. Dairy products often contain unwanted hormones, pesticides and antibiotics as these are often fed to cattle during feeding to increase production.
2.White sugar is another product forming part of the “what not to eat with fibroids” group which you should avoid as much as possible. Sometimes referred to as the “sweet poison”, when eaten it causes large spikes in your blood sugar levels which results in huge insulin secretions. This in turn can lead to diabetes. Sugar can also put a strain on the liver, creating hormonal imbalances and can also lead to harmful bacteria growing in the digestive tract.
3. Refined carbohydrates are another food group to miss out. Once they are stripped of their nutrients, these can clog up your digestive tract and result in toxic build up. The chemical structure is similar to sugar and so the effect is also similar.
If you are seriously looking at ways to manage your fibroids, changing your diet to a fibroid-friendly one and carefully considering what not to eat with fibroids is a very important element of natural treatment. However, it is just one of many protocols which must be followed if you want to see real and lasting results.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a fibroid in your uterine wall is it operable?
I am so confused. I have read a lot about laproscopic and vaginal surgeries for fibroids, but a receptionist at a dr.s office said that surgery would only work for fibroids outside the uterine wall. I just found out that mine is in the front part of the uterine wall and is 1.7 x 1 cm. Can anyone please let me know if surgery is an option for this type of fibroid? Thanks
Fibroid found on cervix?
I just had my daughter a week ago and while the doctor was getting the placenta out she informed me of a large fibroid or type of cancer on my cervix. She asked if anyone had mentioned it to me during an ultrasound but of course no one did. What exactly does this mean? Is this bad or harmful in any way and how do I get rid of it?
Fibroids are a collection of connective tissue that appear from out of nowhere. They are said to be most common in African American women. Depending on the size of the mass will determine what will get done in the days to come. If it is quite large ( bigger than a kiwi), then a fibroidectomy will definitely be in your plans shortly. Your pap smears should have came back abnormal if there were signs of cancer, but if their is surgery, they will definitely take samples of it to check for cancer. If it is small, then cryosurgery may also be an option, but of course all of this is based on what your doctor thinks will be the best and safe option for you.
Am having slight pain in breast area/feels like lymph nodes. Does this happen with menopause stages?
I’m in post-meno. stage and just noticed that on side of my left breast and a spot in armpit feel sore at times and I press and it feels like lymph node areas. What does this mean and could it also be fibroid type tumors?
It could be a lot of things.
At your (our) age I don’t recommend waiting too long to get it checked out. The odds are it’s nothing serious, but tumors aren’t something you want to play the odds on.
If it’s still there after a couple of weeks, have the doc check it out. They can tell by touch whether it needs to be checked further (diagnostic mammogram and/or ultrasound).
Do you get regular mammograms?
Does anyone here used herbal medicine to shrink a uterine fibroid tumor (myoma)?

i asked you to give me a neumonic so i can remember them.

do not remove your uterus. get a second opinion. if you want to gave 84 kidlets, please do not do that. i have never used herbal stuff like that but it does not hurt to try. give it a try first before you remove your woumb.
i am ttc and i am using fertility blend and such stuff. so those are the only things i’ve tried. and i drink herbal teas.
why can’t they remove the fibroids and not the uterus though?
What can be used for dealing with a fibroid tumor?
What type of natural remedy can be used for dealing with a large fibroid tumor? My mother has almost died because she literally bleed to death (menstrauting heavily for months). She became severly anemic with a blood volume level of a mere 3. Normal is 12. She recieved 5 blood transfusions over a 2 month span. They believe it’s all been a result of the fibroid tumor in her uterus. She is trying desperatly to get their insurance company to cover it but they are jerking my parents around calling all of this pre existing and saying they wont cover a dime for any of it including the bills already. My parents are already 100,000 in medical bills. They will not cover the surgery until Nov. of this year. What can be taken naturally in the mean time to help her not have the severe pain and bleeding. Her stomach is so bloated she looks like she’s 5 months pregnant. She always has pain and she always bleeds so bad. I’m worried so badly about my mom. Someone help please!!!
If this were my mother I would take her to the nearest ER in the nearest large hospital, I would choose an Teaching hospital if there’s one near you. They have the best and the most of all the doctors available to you.
Many of these hospitals have benefactors that help the needy and if you ask, they will tell you. We did and they had a large benefactor program they did not advertise.
It took about an hour to O.K. me, and pay all my medical bills for me.
Whether they do or not, they will help. It sounds like your mom needs help right now, not when she can afford it.
