My Fibroids Make Me Look Pregnant – Help!
“My fibroids make me look pregnant!” you exclaim. Sadly, fibroids can indeed cause your abdomen to swell so much that you can appear be be carrying an unborn baby. The extent to the swelling varies from woman to woman depending on the size of their fibroids but the uncomfortable truth is that if fibroids are left untreated, they are more likely to increase in size and rarely decrease unless you happen to be approaching the menopause.
This leaves women with some difficult decisions.
Conventional treatment for fibroids often leaves many women feeling very disappointed, particularly when they learn to their despair that drug treatment and even surgery only offer temporary solutions. Indeed, this is why many doctors recommend a “watchful waiting” approach.
If there can be a “good” thing about fibroids it is that they are rarely dangerous. This means that although they can be extremely uncomfortable and often cause terrible symptoms, you are unlikely to be doing yourself any harm by carefully considering your treatment options. Of course, if your fibroids are so large that they make you look pregnant, then you are probably wanting to do something sooner rather than later!
There are a number of natural treatments which can help you to deal with the symptoms of abdominal swelling. For example, lying with your legs elevated and stretching out your lower back can relieve discomfort. Also, fibroids which are large enough to cause abdominal swelling are also likely to cause other problematic symptoms such as urinary incontinence, constipation and sexual difficulties.
If you are indeed one of the many women who feel “My fibroids make me look pregnant” it may be worth considering trying a natural treatment. Many women have discovered that by eliminating the root causes of their fibroids, effectively neutralising the body so that fibroids cannot thrive there, they have managed to shrink their fibroids completely, thus completely flattening their stomachs.
The approach used encompasses significant dietary and lifestyle changes, cleansing regimes, toxin elimination, stress management and gentle exercise.

QUESTION:
Is the uterin fibroid curable by medication?
-
ANSWER:
no. uterine fibroids are not curable with medication, although during your menstral cycle, severe cramping can be alliviated with prescription pain medication.
there are several options for women with uterine fibroids. do some research on the internet and speak with a gynocologist as well as a family practitioner to determine which treatment is best for yourself. (most gynocologist will recommend #3 rather than #’s 1&2. 1&2 will save the uteris and possibility to still conceive)
1. Abdominal Myomectomy Surgical Treatment to Remove Uterine Fibroids
2. Uterine Artery Embolization (speak with an angioplasty surgen as well)
3. Hysterectomy
if your suffering from fibriods you may also be suffering from severe anemia. make sure you stay on top of that and take an iron supplement according to your doctors orders.
just because there isn’t an over the counter medication doesnt mean you should ignore or live with the condition. it will only get progressively worse as you get older. take the time to ask questions and do something to get healthy again.
i wish i had done something sooner, but then again, i feel blessed to have had the courage to say no a hysterectomy. i eventually found out about embolization and had a wonder angioplasty doctor and staff to perfom the procedure.
i havent felt this healthy in a really long time.

QUESTION:
36 hour period or something else?
So I’ve been having monthly periods for long enough, I’m 28, so I know my period can vary each time. I am currently ttc so this cannot be from the birthcontrol pill. Also I was at the gyno’s this past tuesday for a sonogram, I was having lower abdominal and back pain, I was hoping to find out I was pg but apparently sonograms don’t detect that kind of thing that early. I didn’t mention that I thought I was pregnant nor did he. He just said I had no cysts and my uterus and the uterin lining looked great! He thought the pain might be constipation and that I should be fine. Which makes it more confusing. I started bleeding wednesday, if you can call it that. The blood started very light in color when I wiped. About an hour later I felt a clot pass, and these were a maroon/black color. For the rest of the afternoon, ever few hours, I would pass a clot. I could tell when I was going to so I would go to the bathroom and wipe it out, tmi sorry. Clots are normal but there was no bleeding between. As evening approached it stopped and the next morning there was still no blood on the pad. I passed between 3 and 5 that morning and by 3 that afternoon nothing. I have had no cramps since the first day.
Should I just say it was a weird period? Could I be pregnant and just experienced vaginal bleeding/decidual bleeding? Possibly miscarriage? What do I do? I already went through 9 hpts in the past few weeks so I can buy another but really don’t want to see another bfn, I last tested wednesday – day af due and day clots started. I’m embarrassed to call the dr cause I was just there and he saw no cyst, fibroid, anything that would be concerning? If you’ve had the same thing please share…. I’m in limbo!!-
ANSWER:
My best theory is that it was either a) a very light period (but have you had this type of thing happen before – ever?) or b) it was what is referred to as a “chemical pregnancy,” where fertilization takes place, but for whatever reason there was no implantation, which leads to shedding, like a period. One very important thing is that you tell your doctor you are ttc, because they can take precautions and give you advice. Best of luck!
