  2. QUESTION:
What causes heavy menstrual bleeding for about a month?
Last month my period lasted about four weeks, I didn’t think much of it because it was very light and I figured it was just a freak thing. However, I have been bleeding for about four weeks and its a lot heavier and doesn’t really seem like it is going to stop anytime soon. I saw my doctor and she recommended I see a gynecologist so I called but they said that there weren’t any available appointments soon. I would kind of like to know what is going on and don’t want to have to wait that long so any information that you may have would be great.

Also i have not had sex ever so it’s not because of an abortion or a miscarriage or a pregnancy. I did recently get the HPV vaccine and my mom thinks it could be related but I checked some websites and it wasn’t one of the side effects.
I’m also getting blood clots about the size of a walnut with the shell so fairly big.

    • ANSWER:
      PLEASE!
Contact the gynecologist office again and relate to them whats happening in detail. Insist on an appointment within a week.

  5. QUESTION:
Will heavy menstrual bleeding cause a woman not be able to have children? ?

No, not really. If the heavy bleeding is due to endometriosis, then yes, sometimes women who have that condition have a harder time getting pregnant, but other than that, no. Not according to anything I’ve ever read.
