Fibroid And Weight Gain

Fibroid Cure – a Natural Cure for Fibroids

There is little doubt that most women would prefer a natural fibroid cure rather than surgery or drug treatment. However, when visiting a doctor to discuss treatment options, alternative methods are very rarely mentioned as most conventional doctors have very little experience of these types of treatment. However, there are many alternative practitioners who have very high success rates when they have used a natural fibroid cure.

It is thought that over half of women have fibroids. Many women will be unaware of this fact as the fibroids are small enough not to cause any symptoms. For others though, the situation is very different. The symptoms can be very uncomfortable or even debilitating and include heavy bleeding during periods, bloating, bowel and bladder problems, pain during intercourse and even infertility. Fibroids can range in size from the size of a tiny seed to the size of a melon. When you realize this, it is easy to understand why problems can occur.

Having said this, the problems which can occur from fibroids are very rarely dangerous. Most doctors prefer to leave them alone unless they are causing serious complications. One of the reasons for this is that the conventional treatments which are available are not permanent (with the exception of hysterectomy) and fibroids can regrow. It is important to understand that unless the causes of fibroids is considered, no cure or treatment will be permanent as the condition which caused them to grow in the first place is still there.

Understanding what causes fibroids is a good starting point when looking at a natural cure for fibroids. There are two main theories which explain why fibroids might grow. Many doctors believe that the cause is genetic and that some women are simply prone to inflammatory conditions within the body and that although there is nothing which can be done to stop this, there are ways of reducing the inflammation by eating foods which have anti-inflammatory properties, such as cumin, rosemary and hops. The second known cause is an excess of estrogen within the body. Although the cause of this is not known in all cases, it is known that estrogen is related to the number and size of fat cells within the body, so it makes sense to eat a healthy diet and exercise. In addition, it is thought that certain pollutants can mimic estrogen and another fibroid cure is thought to be detoxification of the liver.

Another fibroid cure which has been used with some degree of success is the use of Chinese herbs. They are known to be effective in helping with cleansing the body and, in particular, the reproductive organs. Further growth of fibroids and the formation of further fibroids can often be prevent by certain herbal preparations.

Fibroids usually begin to shrink naturally after the menopause, but many women are not prepared to suffer the symptoms for that long and this is understandable. If your fibroids are unbearable or causing symptoms which you would like to be rid of, you could consider trying a natural fibroid cure.

Fibroids respond very well to natural treatments and if followed correctly, a natural cure for fibroids can be very effective indeed. If you are considering surgery, it makes complete sense to try out a natural fibroid cure first as fibroids are rarely life threatening so you would not be putting yourself at any risk. (Obviously, if you are at all worried, it would be sensible to confirm with your doctor that your fibroids are harmless) There is a fibroid cure which comes with a risk-free guarantee and follows a simple seven step plan. It contains extensive information on all aspects of fibroids, from the causes, to exactly how you can use a natural cure for fibroids to get rid of the symptoms fast. Click Here for details.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Weight gain of over 6 lbs each month with menstral cycle? What can I do?
Every month I bloat up so much that my stomach puffs and my breast look like missles. I have had several surgeries for fibroid tumors, the last was an embolization. The weird thing is that two days after my period ends the weight leaves with it, my breast shrink to normal size and I can again see my toes. Is there anyone out there who can give me any holistic things to try to stop this phenonmena? I’m already fat and this added 6-10 lbs per month is unbearable. I have an HMO so it takes forever to see a doctor and then you get a superficial check-up with no real help. I’m currently taking diuretics but they only alleviate the pain and bloating a little. HELP ME!

    • ANSWER:
      I would recommend Kelp as it is a natural diuretic ;
very reasonable at your health food store

  2. QUESTION:
    Yasmin birth control pill/weight gain?
My gyno prescribed them to help with my severe cramping and back pain, had a ultrasound to rule out fibroid tumors so this is the next direction she wants to try. My main concern is weight gain, im at the age where nothing I do helps me lose weight and I told the dr that was one of my main concerns was gaining weight. I also have not been on the pill for 10 years since after having my son 9 yrs ago my husband opted for the Vasectomy. I appreciate your help and feedback.

    • ANSWER:
Almost every birth control method can have a side effect of weight gain. Personally, out of all my friends you are on the pill or depo, I have not noticed any weight gain if there is.

I would say don’t worry about it. If you do gain weight it will only be 5 to 10 pounds and most likely not noticable.

You could also ask about depo. I have not experianced any cramping, weight gain or many periods for that matter. I love it and it might be another solution you want to look into.

      Good luck!

  3. QUESTION:
if you get the depo provera shot just once is it possible that you will gain weight before the next shot ?
before the next shot is given? and if i dont get a second shot will the weight gain disappear and how longwill it take? the side effects of this drug scare me because i was told so little about it before i accepted it.So far ive decided im not going to get the next shot which is due in march but does the weight gain go away before march? i know so far ive experienced a lot of breast soreness and this is a month after i got the shot and its worse in the morning , is this part of the side effects and if so what makes this go away? I dont have a personal gynecologist i go to the free clinic near me and they didnt offer a lot of information about this drug except that they want me to take it because i have large fibroid tumors. Anyone with answers for me please help me figure this out. thanks.

  4. QUESTION:
do you usually gain weight if you have fibroids?
I have a fibriod in my uterus, my doctor said my uterus is the size of a 12 week pregnancy ,I am going tues for a hysteroscopy and d/c will these procedures get rid of the fibroid or will i still have to have the hysterectomy

    • ANSWER:
YES!! My Mom swelled up so badly! She lost a lot of the weight after she had her surgery. She opted of Embolization (sp?). They go in thru the artery in your leg & cauterize the viens feeding the fibriods. Her symptoms are gone!!!!! Don’t get a hysterectomy!!!! Good luck.

  5. QUESTION:
My gynecologist said it’s pretty uncommon for a healthy 23 year old woman to get a fibroid…is that true?
In 2007 I was told after an Ultrasound that I had a small intramural fibroid in my uterus and to just follow up in a year. I was really skeptical and asked my normal doctor and she said to make sure I stayed on birth control. I now, after doing my own research, realize she was wrong b/c that only helps the fibroid to grow. In November of 2008 I went to a different doctor and she said it is really uncommon for someone my age and of my health to develop fibroids, especially because I haven’t had any children or been pregnant. Upon another ultrasound I found out it grew 14% in the past year and is now appx. 2x2x2 cm. I have also gained a LOT of weight, though my lifestyle is quite healthy and full of exercise. My gynecologist said it very well may be due to the fibroid. My questions are (sorry it took so long, I just wanted to provide a lot of detail): is weight gain normal, should I get it removed (I realize that no one can really say for sure except my doc and surgeon on this), and what are the chances of me being able to get pregnant with the fibroid. I should also note that I was told that before I can get pregnant I’ll have to get it removed anyway because it’s position may very well keep me from getting pregnant. Finally, I should also disclose that I have extreme pain at times from the fibroid that I don’t want to elaborate on in here. I’m just hoping someone can give me a little more info about fibroids than I’ve found in my own research.

    • ANSWER:
Go to a reproductive endocrinologist. He/she can remove the fibroid while maintaining your fertility.
