2. Spotting to minimal bleeding may be normal, but any bleeding throughout pregnancy needs to be evaluate by your doctor.
3. Heavy vaginal bleeding or bleeding that occurs before 12 weeks may mean a serious problem, counting an ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage.

QUESTION:
Can a cyst in my uterus cause irregular bleeding and breast pain?
I went to the gyno yesterday because of some suspicion of pregnancy. She said she saw nothing but detected a cyst which she believes was the cause of my late period (it arrived 9 days late and was pretty heavy). Now my breasts are starting to hurt. They are not sore or heavy but feel bruised when I touch only the top part. I doubt this is period symptoms because I shouldn’t be expecting my period for another week. Can the cyst in my uterus be causing these breasts pains and the irregular period?-
ANSWER:
Breast pain would be highly unlikely. Period irregularity can sure be caused by the cyst.

QUESTION:
What would cause irregular bleeding between periods?
I am about a week away from starting my period for this month and the other night I used the restroom and there was blood on the toilet paper. I am wondering what it may be? I am in a monogamous relationship so I am sure there is no chance of an STD. I am afraid it could be pregnancy because I had sex about a week after I was on an antibiotic. Any other thoughts as to what it could be would be a great help!
The bleeding only lasted for bout a day total-
ANSWER:
It may be due to stress, or you could get it from the antibiotics that you were on. The antibiotics are still in your system and sometimes take a while to get out of your system, which can cause a small amount of blood in between your cycles. This is nothing to worry about, but if this persists you need to see your family doctor.
