ACV appears in nearly every natural fibroid remedy list. Here is the honest, evidence-based picture.
What ACV Actually Does
Apple cider vinegar has documented effects on post-meal blood sugar regulation — it slows gastric emptying, reducing glucose spikes. It has some antimicrobial properties. The widely shared claim that it “dissolves” or “shrinks” fibroids is not supported by any clinical evidence.

The Alkalising Myth
ACV is frequently claimed to “alkalise the body.” This is physiologically incorrect — the body maintains blood pH within extremely tight parameters (7.35–7.45) regardless of dietary acid or alkaline intake. Consuming vinegar does not change your blood or tissue pH in any meaningful way.
Is It Worth Taking?
Diluted ACV (1–2 tbsp in water) is safe and may support blood sugar stability — relevant because stable insulin reduces IGF-1, a fibroid growth factor. But this effect is better achieved through the overall dietary changes that address fibroids comprehensively. ACV alone is not a fibroid treatment.
