Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Hcg weight loss drops and fibroids?
I had a large fibroid that I had removed surgically 6 months ago and want to try the hcg drops to lose weight. Could the drops cause another fibroid? Or if you already have one, make it larger due to hormones?
Thanks for the info Eddie, but that is not what I asked. Are there “women” who have used this method or a medical professional that can answer my question? Will HCG affect a fibroid?

    • ANSWER:
A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet!
All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011. Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC last week. They carry three brands of hcg drops and not one of them has any hcg in them. The well trained salesman even admitted it when I mentioned it. They contained “similar hormones” or amino acids.
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant.
Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight. I am confident the hcg diet has a 95% failure rate just like every other controversial diet plan out there.
By the way, the expensive “clinical injections” are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an “all cash” practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few months ago.

So the question is are you willing to risk your health with an extreme diet treatment based on testimonial evidence as opposed to clinical research evidence, and the statements from doctors in this all cash business?

  2. QUESTION:
Weight loss with laparascpy or was it the colyte???
I am just curious of others opinions.
I had laparscopy surgery several years ago, before I had the surgery, I was told to drink this HORRIBLE stuff called colyte. I completey cleans you out, I mean completley to prep you for surgery. Well, during the surgery, they removed 2 small fibroids, and a small cyst.
To my surprise, I lost about 22 pounds during the next few weeks.
I am curious of others opinions of what caused the wight loss……was it the colon cleansing, or the fibroid removal, or the two together. I am getting ready to have another dose of colyte for another surgery…….here we go again.
Any opinions are appreciated…please no sarcastic or rude comments.

    Thank you 🙂

    • ANSWER:
GoLYTELY is probably the colon cleanser you used, and it can actually help you remove quite a bit of material from your body. Along with the surgery and the stress of this event, it doesn’t seem uncommon for you to have lost the weight.

      hope you stay healthy!

      cheers!

  3. QUESTION:
sides aches, back aches, unintentional 8 pound weight loss, just not myself?
Started 7 mnths ago, I am a 45 year old female.. always healthy, until 7 months ago. had some constipation problems.. then a fluttery weird feeling on my left side by rib cage,…burning in stomach, and lost some weight, that i still have not gained back 7 months later. Just weird come and go side aches, and lots of stomach gargle noises.. Had all the tests, colonoscopy, endonoscopy, CT scan, abdomnal US and peliv. Only thing to show up was a cyst and fibroids. I went again for the pelive and the cyst had disappeared and showed up on the other ovary..so was told functioning cysts. Maybe its the fibroids causing all this? I exhausted the GI doctor, but the scopes all came back fine.. so maybe this is all female related. Not sure about the weight loss thing, but noone seems to be able to help me. Had all types of blood work too? How can I feel this way, yet… no tests are coming up with anything?.. Course been told it could be IBS (but i don’t know if you lose weight because of that)..or stress.. but i have known my body for 44 years.. and I just can’t see all this being stress. My life has come to hault, and its all depressing me.. Will continue to bug doctors.. but not sure what test besides a MRI, I haven’t taken.. Thanks
Thanks for the answers so far…but.. I should make clear that I am “trying ” to gain weight, not lose it. Last summer , with this ilness (whatever it is).. I lost about 8 pounds.. I am already to think aat 5’10..and now weight 135. I normally weight always.. over 140, like 144 pounds.. This unexpected weightloss is not good news but for some reason my body won’t let me gain it back, and get over my usual 140. very weird.. My stomach grumbles too like crazy.. i wonder if my intestines are not digesting properly or something. My Gi doctor has tested me for stuff, stool, etc.. colonoscopy, endoscopy.. all good.. 🙁

  5. QUESTION:
Plus Size TTC#1 , Dr’s Only Advice Was To Lose Weight, Losing Hope!!!?
We have been TTC#1 for 4 months.
My OBGYN only suggested weight loss since my periods are regular every 30 days.

I have 3 Fibroids located outside of my uterine wall, and the Dr stated they shouldn’t affect my fertility (I asked him if this is true since I read they can cause hormonal imbalances, preventing fertility)

And he simply replied, getting pregnant takes time, it’s too soon to order additional test (like blood work), and I would have to wait at least a year before I am considered infertile.

This wouldn’t be such a problem for me if I wasn’t 33 going on 34, desperately want a child, and know my weight isn’t going anywhere.
I am 5’5 , 210 pounds. I eat healthy and work out but still haven’t had any weight loss success without the assistance of medication.

Which I obviously can’t take if we are TTC..

I don’t have any other health issues besides my weight and we can not afford to save for a baby if we spend all our money TTC one.

Sooo at this point I don’t know what to do!!!
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions????
    April –
You are obviously not the best person to answer my question.
When you have increased levels of estrogen because of Fibroid Tumors
You cannot simply just loose weight without medical intervention.
I didn’t ask for a medical review and my question was directed to Plus Size women who might have suggestions..

Not all of us can just drop 50 pounds as you suggested.
And since you don’t know my diet or exercise program. I would suggest you keep your Judgmental Opinions to your Self
    HUN!

    • ANSWER:
First of all~April, your an idiot~
Second, I am overweight and TTC as well. We have been trying for 3 years and if there is one thing I can say about doctors is that they’re not always right! They told me for 3 years that I was just to fat, and I needed to lose weight. Let me tell you, for a full year I stuck to a very strict diet, I only ate 800 calories a day, and I walked or jogged every day for 1 hour a day. Do you know how much weight I lost in that year? 9 FREAKIN POUNDS!!!! I SHOULD HAVE LOST 50!!! Turns out (after I went to another doctor) that I have a problem with my thyroid that prevents me from losing weight, and the year of only eating 800 calories actually made me very sick~my immune system was weak, my blood pressure was VERY low, and I all around just didnt feel good.
My best advice is to find a doctor who will listen to you and help you, and believe me, I know it hurts when 9 different doctors tell you you’re too fat (been there, done that), but once you find one that actually gives a damn, you can start on the right track to conceiving.
