  2. QUESTION:
what is the difference between uterine polyps, fibroids and cysts?
I was told I have fibroids and polyps…..I really don’t understand the difference…

    • ANSWER:
An endometrial polyp or uterine polyp is a sessile mass in the inner lining of the uterus. They may have a large flat base (sessile) or be attached to the uterus by an elongated pedicle (pedunculated). Pedunculated polyps are more common than sessile ones. They range in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters If pedunculated, they can protrude through the cervix into the vagina. Small blood vessels may be present, particularly in large polyps.

Fibroids are the most common benign tumors in females and typically found during the middle and later reproductive years. While most fibroids are asymptomatic, they can grow and cause heavy and painful menstruation, painful sexual intercourse, and urinary frequency and urgency. Some fibroids may interfere with pregnancy although this appears to be very rare.

A vaginal cyst is a closed sac on or under the vaginal lining that contains fluid or semisolid material. Cysts occur when a gland or duct is clogged and liquid collects in a sac.
When a cyst is inside the vagina, they are usually painless. Their size can range from the size of a pea to that of an plum.

      I hope I helped.

  3. QUESTION:
    Uterine Fibroids and Breast Cysts
    Hello All,
I have uterine fibroids and breast cysts. I am estrogen dominant and began taking steps to repair the damage. I have begun exercising as well as changing my diet free from red meats, dairy and coffee. My doctor and I discussed possible options and since I am fairly young (36), invasive procedures are not beneficial for me since I plan (hope) to have more children and the Fibroids are not yet severely large enough to cause serious damage, however they are uncomfortable.

I also don’t want to take Hormone Therapy due to side affects and my age.

I researched online various sites advising the use of Natural Herbs to reduce and shrink Fibroids, but there are so many I want to know which herbs are BEST or more EFFECTIVE at eliminating Fibroids.
I understand that using Natural Herbs it will take abit of a longer time to reduce the Fibroids and I’m ok with that, I just want to “pin-point” the BEST and MOST EFFECTIVE herbs to obtain.

I’ve read the following are good choices:
    Vitex (Chasteburry)
    Milk Thistle
    Lady’s Mantle
    Dandelion root
    Flaxseed

Please if I’ve missed anything please let me know or advise the best most effective herb remedy to use. Thanks everyone in advance, greatly appreciate it!

    • ANSWER:
Goodness, you could be my “female problem identical twin”! Please, please, please, do not remove your uterus. You are not going to like me for this, but I am going to recommend that you go to a Reproductive Gynecological Doctor. They will help you repair the mess your body has made, all the while, ensuring that your fertility will be kept in tact. There is surgery you can have to remove them without doing lots of damage to the uterus.

uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts and i’m getting sick alot.?
yes i have 2 uterine fibroids so far i have one at the top and one in the back of my uterus. i haven’t gotten them checked in a year cause my doctor doesn’t listen to me. most of the time i am sick and throwing up and headaches. and the cysts are causing severe pain most of the time. what could this really mean.
i had recently went to the ER and that doctor referred me to another doctor but they still didn’t check anything out. they just gave me vicodin and sent me on my way.
when i do get severe pains from my cysts i feel sharp pains in my thighs at the very top on the crease by the pelvis.
and it does hurt in my thighs when i do walk and they shake when i go up or down stairs. can someone tell me why? and what to do?

    • ANSWER:
Since your Dr. won’t listen to you, go to the ER and have them check you out. Thats what happened to me. I had an ovarian cyst and my Dr. didn’t know what it was and told us not to worry about it. But we went to the ER and we found out that I had an ovarian cyst and it had burst. So in short, go to the ER.
