Urine Fibroids

Uterine Fibroids Natural Treatment

It’s almost a year now since I started writing about uterine fibroids natural treatment and I’m absolutely delighted to report that my fibroids have not grown back. My own experience is what inspired me to write, as I’d spent years suffering from intolerable symptoms. I am still totally symptom-free and live what I consider to be a normal life. A couple of years ago, things were very different indeed.

When I was originally diagnosed, I knew something was very wrong, but naively hadn’t predicted fibroids! What I had imagined was a worse case scenario and I expected to be told I had a cancerous tumor. However, I was diagnosed with large fibroids (one was the size of a small melon) and was told I needed a hysterectomy. Now, being anti-surgery (as most of us are!) and anti drug treatment, I needed to satisfy myself that I had considered every option. However, I felt that time was running out as I was forever tired, spent a fortune on sanitary napkins and tampons, took extra strength iron tablets and leaked urine when I laughed-all in all not a good state of affairs!

I knew that a hysterectomy carried all the risks of major surgery and that I would possibly go through the menopause early. In addition, I really didn’t want to take the hormonal drugs I’d have needed to shrink the fibroids before surgery as I didn’t want to risk osteoporosis.

I approached my doctor to ask about uterine fibroids natural treatment as I’d been doing some research on the internet. He was pretty dismissive, but agreed we would postpone the surgery until I had made a final decision. In my mind, I knew I did not want to go through with the hysterectomy, but my body was telling my I needed to do something quickly. I just felt under the weather all the time and relationships between me and my husband were at an all time low. Fibroids do not make you feel sexy! I was only in my thirties (still am, just!) and could not face at least ten more years of this.

I decided I had nothing to lose by trying out uterine fibroids natural treatment so, armed with what I thought looked like a great system, I began treatment around a month after I first saw my doctor.

Natural treatment for uterine fibroids revolves around treating the causes of the fibroids. Now this is easier said than done as it is not possible to determine just what has caused them in individual women. Because of this, it is absolutely vital to eliminate each and every potential and possible cause to ensure that, quite simply, they cannot thrive. This means that treatment needs to be multifaceted and I found that at times I needed motivation to keep up with it, especially in the very early days when I was not sure if it was working.

Looking at what I did, there are a few simple steps which anyone can take who is wanting to try out uterine fibroid natural treatment. Firstly, one of the main causes of fibroids is excess estrogen. Not only the natural sort, but that from pesticides and environmental toxins. Maintaining a healthy weight can help to reduce natural estrogen (as it is both stored in and manufactured by, fat cells). To remove estrogen mimicking compounds, a liver detox is essential. To do this, the essential elements are drinking at least 2 liters of water daily, avoiding any processed meats and certain herbs such as Milk Thistle can be used specifically for liver cleansing.

Another tip is to eat foods which are naturally anti-inflammatory such as oats, hops and cumin, as some women are prone to fibroid growth due to being sensitive to inflammatory conditions.

My day to day symptoms, such as heavy periods and bloating began to diminish within a couple of weeks of beginning uterine fibroids natural treatment. Actual shrinkage (which I could see and measure by my clothing fit!) began after about 6 weeks. Within 4 months, my largest fibroid had shrunk by a third.

I always recommend natural treatments for fibroids to anyone who listens now. However, I would say that you do need a degree of motivation. I personally found that the quick results were motivation in themselves.

Fibroids are a condition which respond very well to natural remedies and they are an ideal condition to treat because as they are so rarely life-threatening. It makes complete sense to try out a natural treatment for fibroids before resorting to surgery or any of the hormonal drugs which can cause their own side effects.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Could this be a serious condition regarding blood in the urine?
I experience bad cramping after my menstral and I left a urine specimen with my primary care physician, thinking that I may have a U.T.I. and she called back and advised me that there were no bateria, or any type of infection found. She stated that there was traces of blood in my urine. I let her know that I do have fibroids and a couple of kidney stones.

    • ANSWER:
You need to go to your doctor and have yourself checked out.

      1) it could be something doing with stones and fibroids or something else

      2) you could of lifted something heavy/strenuous exercise and had injured your bladder some how

      3) or simply because you had some blood from your menses that was introduced into the urine.

Please contact your physician and please do not ask for medical advice on the web. Too many people know little about a lot and they are not trained in medicine. Do not trust your body and life to others whom are not professionals and who may be some sort of Kook. Also just because a person leaves a blog that they are a professional or have medical training it does not mean that it is so

P.S. I find it troubling that your doctor/clinic did not go any further to investigate more on why there was blood, you may wish to change physicians. If they are that “busy” or that unfeeling to not take time to make sure that you are okay and provide you with reasons it is occurring

  3. QUESTION:
What can a urine test determine ?
Can a urine sample tell the doctor if you have an ovarian cyst? fibroids? etc… or can you only tell you have a uti from it ?

    • ANSWER:
There isn’t a urine test that can check for either ovarian cysts or fibroids, those are usually diagnosed by ultrasound scanning. There are several types of testing strips that can be used when testing urine. The most commonly used type check for markers that can indicate infection and certain types of kidney disease including kidney stones, and if there’s glucose in the urine, which can be an indicator of diabetes. Testing for pregnancy requires a different test kit – that test is not included on a standard dipstick test. There are also a number of other types of urine tests that are sent off to labs for analysis, including testing for chlamydia. Also sometimes if a UTI is suspected, a dipstick test is checked in the doctor’s surgery then a sample is sent to the lab for culture to see what exact bug is causing the infection and which antibiotic is the best choice.

    Thanks a ton!

    • ANSWER:
