Homeopathy for fibroids
Unlike malignant tumors, uterine fibroids are benign tumors of uterus. These tumors represent abnormal growth of cells in the uterus. The difference between malignant and benign tumors is the ability or inability of these tumors to metastasize. Metastasis is a phenomenon in which these abnormal clones of cell invade the adjacent cells, causing cancer. Owing to these facts, it can be said that benign tumors are not linked with any cancerous doings.
Fibroids are very common among females and in most cases, they remain completely harmless. They are much common in women of the age group of 20-35. There is absolutely no chance that these fibroids get developed in teenage girls. Also, they are more common in African American women as compared to any other else.
Still, there causes are not identified. Their development is attributed to estrogen level. Estrogens are responsible for increasing the size of fibroids. As long as women are menstruating, they will keep on producing estrogens. Consequently, they will remain prone to fibroids until menstruation ceases. When the women reach menopause (final menstrual cycle), their body no longer produces estrogens and so they remain no longer on the hit list of fibroids.
The size of fibroids ranges approximately from .8 to 8 inches. Normally, fibroids are very small but at times they become so large that they may fill the entire uterus. Their number also varies significantly as they can be solitary or can be in groups.
Fibroids have no specific symptoms. However, some of the common symptoms include heavy periods, prolonged menstrual cycle, pelvic pain, difficulties in urination etc. Large-size fibroids can significantly worsen the situation by causing back pain. Also, sometimes these fibroids can block the uterus.
There are a number of methods for the treatments of fibroids. These include hormonal methods, surgical methods, herbal methods etc. Hormonal methods provide transient solution and are not recommended. Instead, they are used as precursor for surgical methods. Surgical method includes myomectomy and hysterectomy. Myomectomy involves the removal of fibroids and hysterectomy involves the removal of uterus.
In addition to these methods, there is another method for the treatment of fibroids. This method is homeopathy. Homeopathy, for fibroid is really an effective form of alternative medicine. This method of cure uses the built-in mechanism of the human body for treatment. It works by invoking the immune system of the body and is based on the principle of “like treats like”.
Really, homeopathy is good for fibroids. There are three natural remedies which are recommended for fibroids. These include Afis Mellifica, Calcarea Carbolica and Lachesis. Besides these, there are more than 100 homeopathic medicines that are very successful at treating uterine fibroids. The selection of a particular medicine depends upon the homeopathic consultant of the patient. Another thing that you should necessarily keep in your mind is that homeopathy takes relatively larger amount of time as compared to other. Although, it is a bit time-consuming, yet it has a number of advantages over other methods. The most important one is that it has no side-effects i.e. homeopathic fibroid treatment will have no negative effects on your body.
