    • ANSWER:
When it is polypoid or sub mucous fibroid intermenstural bleeding occurs. If the polypus is large the bleeding is profuse and almost continuous. If it is infected the discharge may be with pus and with offensive smell. Red is fresh bleeding and the brown is late bleeding. Since you have already being diagnosed as having fibroid you need not worry, other wise we have to think of possibility of co-incident uterine cancer. Better to have a checkup again.

  2. QUESTION:
I need info about a possible fibroid tumor on my uterus…
I had an MRI on my hip about three weeks ago and I went to my doctor yesterday to discuss the results. She told me that the test also showed a possible fibroid tumor on my uterus, A few questions: Can they tell just from the MRI that it is fibroid as opposed to malignant? Also, what is the treatment for a fibroid tumor? ANY info you can share with me will be appreciated.

    • ANSWER:
the only way to tell if it is malignant(cancerous) or benign(non-cancerous) is to do a biopsy. I’m so sorry. I hope it’s malignant and you are ok! good luck!

  3. QUESTION:
If you have fibroid tumor on uterus….?
Is it harder to get pregnant? or even impossible?
I’m wondering because I had my baby Thrusday but he wasn’t come out at all vaginal so I had to have a c-section. The doctor said it was the size of a soft ball.
When I saw him later, he kinda talked like I was lucky to get pregnant. I’m not sure but that’s the feeling I got.
I do plan on asking him clearly when I see him again.
But could it be possible that I was lucky to get pregnant? It only took us 2 months of trying.
    Thanks
Oh and he wasn’t coming out i mean the tumor was preventing him from coming out

    • ANSWER:
Only 2 months of trying is lucky for someone who DOESN’T have the tumors, but yes you were lucky. Depending on size, placement, and amount of tumors (you can have more than one) it can impair your fertility or even stop you from getting pregnant. They can be surgically removed bettering your chances of pregnancy but they will grow back. So far the only permanent cures cause you to be sterile.

  4. QUESTION:
My fiance has a fibroid tumor on her uterus, can it stop her from getting pregnant?

  5. QUESTION:
Can a woman get pregnant if she has a fibroid tumor on her uterus?
I was diagnosed with a fibroid tumor like six months ago. I have known that I had PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) since 1999 or so, but when he told me I had a fibroid tumor I was shocked!!! He said it is about 4″ in diameter (about the size of a golf ball), but insists that I can get pregnant without having the fibroid removed. He did say there are certain medications that you can take to try to shrink it down, but he said he has many pregnant patients with fibroids and many who have delivered with them. When I was coming up I always heard a woman can’t have a baby with a fibroid tumor.

I am 30 years old and have never been pregnant. It seems as if I do remember another OBGYN saying I may have had a fibroid when he did my laparoscopy in 2004, but I can’t remember. But maybe that explains why I have been unable to conceive. I know PCOS is probably the main problem, but it makes me wonder because people with PCOS get pregnant too.

    What’s your opinion?

    • ANSWER:
I discovered that I had 2 fibroids in my uterus when I went in for my 12 week scan. It hasn’t caused me any problems and I’m 31 weeks pregnant.
